In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar (I use evaporated cane juice) and 1 cup water. Boil together to make a simple syrup.
Allow the syrup to cool, remove 1 ounce of the syrup to make your natural cough syrup. Add honey, thyme infusion and essential oils together until thoroughly combined.
Pour into a 4 ounce sterile glass bottle, label (with expiration date as well), and store in a cool dark place (like a cupboard or medicines cabinet) for up to 3 months.
